2010 Numbers are in....

What we have all been waiting for...the December 2010 numbers for Palm Springs and the surrounding cities...how did we do?  Did we go up or down?

As presented by CAR (California Association of Realtors), here they are....

Compared to November 2010...there was an 8.7% increase in price and a whopping 26.5% increase in sales. That made us #2 compared to every other region in California topped only by Santa Barbara coming in with 27.5% increase!

Compared to a year ago, December 2009...there was a 3% increase in price and a modest 1.3% increase in sales. Every other region in California had a decrease in sales from a year ago with the exception of one other!

These numbers confirm what those of us working here already knew...

2010 was a better year for real estate than 2009 in the Palm Springs area.
