Recently The Desert Sun ran an article titled "Foreclosures the Majority of Area Sales" claiming majority of sales (56%) in Riverside County in the 1st quarter of 2010 were foreclosures.
THAT IS NOT THE CASE in the immediate area of "Coachella Valley". Fact is it was only 40%...further THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS was only 35%. IN FACT, year-to-date figures in Palm Springs now reflects ONLY 33% of sales are foreclosures. And even more interesting in Central Palm Springs it is 25% AND IN SOUTH PALM SPRINGS IT IS 28%....1/2 OF WHAT THE DESERT SUN ARTICLE WOULD LEAD YOU TO BELIEVE!!!!!
